This London restaurant is a delightful mix of Asia with a hint of French colonialism. The attentive staff are eager to please which makes the service excellent.
Set on four floors, Bam Bou serves a sophisticated menu that blends Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese influences to produce dishes such as baked mackerel in banana leaf and mutton massaman curry with quince. All in all, a very tasty range of dishes served at very reasonable prices.
Located just five minutes from Tottenham Court Road Underground station, it’s well situated for theatreland, in an area just north of Oxford Street known as Fitzrovia (not far at all from Soho, which is just south of Oxford Street).
Bam-Bou offers a pre-theater menu that will set you back only £14.95 (about $24) for a two-course meal and £18.95 (about $31) for three courses.
There is a new bar area called the Red Bar that serves cocktails and a range of dishes that includes salt and chili squid and crispy shrimp rolls.
Three private rooms are available, while the top floor bar is a hideaway from the hectic pace of central London.
All together, Bam-Bou is a superb dining experience and a must for all visitors to the capital
