Serviced Apartments London
“Book in to a hotel or take up one of the many serviced apartments London has to offer?” Whether you’re visiting London for a short while or an extended trip, that has to be your first question.
Hotels are great but a serviced apartment can be so much better. Some say hotels are impersonal. With a serviced apartment you get a living room to relax in after a great day’s sight-seeing or that gruelling business meeting, space to work and, if you feel inclined, a fully fitted kitchen to prepare a meal. All in all, a home-from-home.
“What’s included?”
In the main, all serviced apartments in London include maid service, reception/concierge services and all utility costs, i.e. electricity, gas and water charges, cleaning, TV licence and all local government taxes. Telephones are sometimes supplied but the cost of calls is not included.
“What Types of Apartments Are Available?”
There are many companies dealing in serviced apartments in London and they offer all types of accommodation from studio flats to one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. A studio flat is similar to a hotel room in that it has a large bedroom area which in itself would be the main living space. The bed is often a sofa-bed or fold-away, although some do offer a full-size bed.
In the room will usually be a small dining table (which doubles up as a work place), television, music system and seating. This type of apartment will also have a compact kitchenette which would include a cooker, microwave and fridge. The bathroom would also be compact and have a toilet, wash basin, bathtub with integral shower.
One-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments differ from the studio flat in that the living room will be separate from the bedrooms. Each bedroom will be separate from each other and some may offer en-suites. The living area will be larger and have a settee/lounge area for greater relaxation. The bathrooms and kitchens are more akin and of a size you may find in your own home or apartment.
