Hotels Near Wembley Stadium
There’s a good number of hotels near Wembley Stadium in London, England – all suitable for your visit to London in the summer of 2012.
Wembley Stadium is a legendary venue (known as “the Home of English Football”) and will be among the stadiums hosting soccer matches during the Olympics.
Even if you’re not planning to visit London for the Olympics, the summer of 2012 will see the English capital hosting at least two other events which will also demand the world’s attention:
-
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations (Her Majesty The Queen will have been on the throne for 60 years in 2012)
- World Pride – which is expected to attract around one million people
So while hotels near Wembley Stadium, such as the Wembley Plaza (a Hilton hotel), Ibis and Quality Hotel, will be ideally located for the Olympics, they’ll also provide a genuine alternative when hotels and other accommodation in more centrally-located districts become fully booked (London has ‘only’ about 100,000 hotel rooms up for grabs).
What’s more, you’ll be able to get into central London to visit all the major attractions very easily, using either the London Underground (Tube), trains or local buses. You could also take a taxi, but this would prove to be quite expensive.
If you are planning to go to watch an Olympics event, however, it’s worth you checking this site regularly as Games time approaches (or even better, sign up for our free newsletter) because there is talk of Olympic tickets including free travel on London’s public transport system.
We’re not sure whether that’ll include every venue or just the Olympic Stadium, so watch this space.
