London - home to 4 World Heritage Sites

If you're looking to explore World Heritage Sites while you're in London, you're in luck: the English capital has four of them. They are:

• The Tower of London
• Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
• Westminster Palace, Westminster Abbey & St Margaret’s Church
• Maritime Greenwich (Old Royal Naval College, Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum and the oldest Royal Park in London)

Visit The Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels or stand near the spot where three of Henry VIII’s wives where executed.

You can explore the historic settlement of Greenwich, with its maritime museum or Royal Observatory…or simply get your picture taken while standing on the Greenwich Meridian (0°Longitude) line.

If you need a rest from the hustle and bustle of London then head for more peaceful surroundings at the Royal Botanical Gardens, in Kew. Or, if you want to see great medieval architecture, then the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey and St Margaret’s Church are just right for you (this site also features the world-famous Big Ben).
