When you enter the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant in Fulham Broadway, south-west London, you really get something to satisfy all of your senses.

This place is intriguing, romantic, memorable and, most importantly, serves delicious food, which ranges from classic Thai dishes to low-calorie and herbal medicinal options. Its signature dish is fillet of sea bass marinated with herbs, grilled in a bamboo case.

Blue Elephant is also home to one of London’s most lavish Sunday lunches, complete with face painting and entertainment for the kids.

It's worth noting that the restaurant operates a turn around time of 2 hours on all tables and on Sundays the only menu available is the brunch menu, which is served as a buffet.

Because the Blue Elephant is very close to the Chelsea FC Stamford Bridge football ground, which is one of the biggest in London, your experience may well be affected (it simply means that you'll probably have to wait a little longer to get your meal). So be aware that the English football (soccer) season runs from mid-August through May.

However, this does mean that if you visit the Blue Elephant in the summer months, you'll have nothing to worry about.

One of the main reasons I took my family to this lovely Thai restaurant is because it is so vegetarian- and child-friendly. This place is not cheap but you certainly get the quality what you pay for.
