Drinking in London

London has a rich, long and varied tradition when it comes to drinking.

Whether you like swanky bars in exclusive districts of London or traditional real ale pubs which are hundreds of years old, London is able to cater for your taste.

Of course, there is also plenty of choice in between – for example, there are bars with great views, champagne bars, cocktail bars, bars and pubs which are great for music and/or dancing, or perhaps outdoor drinking.

You can drink in historic pubs which used to be the haunt of famous writers, such as Charles Dickens, or perhaps take a stroll along the River Thames and enjoy some ‘al fresco’ drinking, such as at The Founders Arms, which is at a great location beside the Tate Modern on the South Bank.

Whatever your taste, we strongly recommend enjoying the atmosphere at at least one of London’s superb pubs or bars.
