Accommodation near London - plenty more options for Summer 2012!

You can find plenty of alternative accommodation locations - across all budget ranges - near London.

A great place to start is the Home Counties -the counties which surround London. These are:

All of these counties offer a real alternative if you're looking for someplace to stay when you visit London in the summer of 2012. In fact, there could be additional benefits to staying near London - as opposed to in London - other than the greater potential for vacant rooms.

For example, if you're planning to attend the Olympic or Paralympic sailing events in 2012, which are to be held in the English county of Dorset, then perhaps a stay in Surrey (which is the 'right' side of London for Dorset) could be great for you.

Booking accommodation in Berkshire, on the other hand, would be great for you if you want to watch the Olympic and Paralympic rowing and kayak events, which will be held in Eton Dorney, near Windsor, which is in this Royal county.

Buckinghamshire is a beautiful, leafy county, and home to musicians such as the Young brothers, of rock legends AC/DC, the main man of Oasis, Noel Gallagher, and also Ozzy Osbourne lives here.
