About Us – the team behind the London 2012 Useful Information Guide

London2012uig (the uig stands for ‘Useful Information Guide’) is owned and managed by Complete Sense Ltd, a UK company based in south-west Hertfordshire, one of the Home Counties, which sits just north of London.

We are Peter Tydeman and Paul Parry, both passionate about London and keen travelers. That’s one of the reasons why we’ve created this site.

Another inspiration behind the London 2012 UIG is Paul’s late father, Steve, who played a major role in both bringing the Olympic Games to London and, subsequently, helping the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) once London had won the right to be the Host City in 2012.

Having attended every Olympic Games since Mexico in 1968, Steve Parry sadly passed away one day before the opening of the 2008 Games in Beijing – the first he was to miss in 40 years.
